I acquired my first American Cocker Spaniel in 1975 and in 1976 the kennel name FIELGAR was born.

Over the years I have imported many dogs from the US/Canada. My biggest winning American Cocker came from the well known 'PS' kennel in America and his name was Show Champion PS Giveme One Moment In Time At Fielgar - Edwin as he was known at home won 10 CC's, 6 Res.CC's (one at Crufts !) numerous BOB's and other top wins. He was also the sire of our first homebred SH.CH. Fielgar Has The Style.

In 1994 "Edwin" was the Our Dogs top sire which was a wonderful achievement for such a beautiful dog.

My most recent imports have been from Denmark and all three qualified for Crufts on their first outing to one of our Championship shows. I am very hopeful of a very exciting show season with these three youngsters. As a small kennel we aim to breed healthy puppies and in doing so health screen our stock under the KC/BVA system and will only breed from those with a current clear eye certificate and satisfactory hip scores .

I am a Kennel Club Approved Championship Show judge of American Cockers and have awarded CCs in the breed at Three Counties Show, Birmingham National Show and Midland Counties Show. I have also judged other breeds within the Gundog Group at Open Show Level.
